Dyeing of Recycled Electrospun Polyamide 6 Nanofibers: Implications of Dye Particle Size

Abstract The dyeing of recycled polyamide nonwoven fabrics based on nanofibers (PA-NWNF), which were fabricated from wastes, was conducted in this study. Since PA-NWNF exhibited a high surface area to volume ratio, it dyed with different particle sizes Disperse Red 167 dye (DR 167, DR 167-B, and 167-C) without auxiliary agents prevent further environmental pollution. undyed PA-NWNF, as well the applied dyes, characterized by SEM, BET, XRD, FT-IR techniques. Both color yield ( K/S ) fastness also evaluated. morphology 167-C owned homogeneity smooth nanofibers. In addition, (the smallest size) provided numerous advantages, including dispersion, low temperature, minimum processing time, greater yield. At concentration 15%, produced 55.1 33.18% yields higher than respectively. Also, achieved better colorfastness washing (very good, 4) compared other studied dyes.
